My Valentine

February 9, 2010

I love Valentine’s Day.  Each month I can’t wait to change the decorations in our home.  This month I bring out the red plates, the valentine books, and hang up this decoration.  It is twine that I hang with some IKEA ornaments.  I bought them on sale right after Christmas one year, and use them for Valentine’s Day.

For MLK Day we wanted to eat some southern food.  We visited Pappadeaux and enjoyed some gumbo and po boys.

New Years 2010

We took a trip to Southern Arizona.  We saw Tombstone, Bisbee, and the Desert Museum.  In Bisbee, we took a tour of the Copper Queen Mine.  You put on the gear, load up on a train, and travel deep inside a copper mine.  What an adventure!

Double the Turkey

November 26, 2009

We are surrounded by family so we enjoy visiting both sides for Thanksgiving.  One was outside in the beautiful weather with kids running and playing in the grass while the other was inside with kids in costumes.  So fun!  Adam couldn’t believe that he could feast with all of his cousins on the same day!  We are very thankful for close family ties.

This is a banner that Mom, Susan, and I made three years ago.  It is a favorite Thanksgiving decoration.  Adam is only three in this picture but I love it!Thanksgiving banner
